After a fantastic time in WDW in Oct we want to come back. What is the better month to visit: early May or Oct (again)? Coming from Europe we also plan a week on the beach - is May warm enough for swimming? Thanks for all your help so far!!!

Hi there, Renate! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like your family had a magical time on your last Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm happy to help you start planning some more pixie-dusted fun on your next one!

So the first thing I want to say is that the best time to visit Walt Disney World is anytime! But I do understand that you need to narrow down your dates, so let's get to work on that.

You already know that October features lots of fabulous fun! You can have a hauntingly good time at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and get your foodie fix at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Plus, October has long, golden afternoons and warm temperatures that are perfect for hitting the pool or the beach!

May here in the Sunshine State is usually filled with just that - sunshine! At the Walt Disney World Resort, early May brings the incredible colors (and flavors!) of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. We're heading into summer in Florida and temperatures are starting to rise, so you should have great weather for swimming.

Renate, if you loved fall at Walt Disney World, it never hurts to come back and enjoy it again. My advice, though, is to dive in and try something new! I think you'll find spring at Walt Disney World to be a beautiful treat that your whole family will enjoy.

I hope this helps you plan a practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation, Renate. Please stop by and see us again soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
