Fantasmic is only showing once during our stay (1/8/12). We'll miss extra magic hours at MK if we're at HS that day(no park hoppers.) Our kids will be 3 1/2, 2, and 8 mos. Is Fantasmic too scary? Would we be better off spending extra time at MK? Thanks!

    Hi Byron!

Fantasmic is one of my all time favorite nighttime shows in Walt Disney World, but with that being said it can be quite scary for children under 5 or 6 years old.  Fantasmic has some scary villain or nightmare scenes both in real life and projected on the water screens with intense music as well which can be extremely frightening to young children.  With younger children you may be better off spending more time in the Magic Kingdom with the Evening Extra Magic Hours on that particular day instead of seeing Fantasmic.  You can wait until your children get a little older to watch Fantasmic with them and doing this will give you something to look forward to in the years to come.

I hope that you make amazing family memories on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
