What is the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios all about? I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old and wondering if it would be worth it to take them to see it. Also, is it best to eat at one of the restaurants that offer the lunch/dinner and show package?

Hi Gina! The Fantasmic Show is an evening event in the Hollywood Studios park each night. During busy times they will present it twice. It is outside and the seating is in a large outdoor amphitheater with just about any seat being a good seat to see the show.

Disney characters will be present with many coming along the water in boats but of course the main character is Mickey himself. It is a show done with lasers and fireworks and although there are loud noises and bangs if you choose to sit back a bit this should not affect the little ones. It is one of Disney's great shows and I do suggest it to all guests coming for a vacation!

I prefer to get the dining package with it as the lines for those who don't have guaranteed seating can get quite long and you might need to wait up to an hour just to get in. With the dining package you are assured of a seat and you won't have to arrive until about 20-30 minutes ahead of time making it a better use of your park time. Kids hate just sitting and waiting too. You can get reservations for either lunch or dinner so whatever works best for you is good. I like Mama Melrose or the Brown Derby but check out all menus of those that are offered to see which suits your family and your culinary tastes.

    Enjoy the show!
