Have Fantasmic pkg for 6/1 (SW Weekend). Considering cancelling and doing something like Min & Bill's that was offered in Dec. Can you arrive early, bring food in, and have a picnic in the ampitheater? How early would you arrive?

    Hi there, Karen!

The answer to both of these queries is yes.  You can bring food into the Parks, and you are permitted to eat in the Fantasmic! amphitheater.

Because this is such a popular show, you should  plan to queue up at least an hour before doors open, typically two hours prior to the first show of the night. And you can be the judge: if the crowds look particularly large on your travel day, you might want to send a "placeholder" to queue up even earlier than that.

Concession stands are located at the back of the theater. Many Guests do choose to purchase food from the stands and eat in their show seats.

Several restaurants (currently Hollywood Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and Hollywood & Vine) offer a Fantasmic! Dinner Package; there is a credit card guarantee to hold your spot, but no additional charge.

The package entitles the diner to guaranteed seating at a night's Fantasmic! performances.

This plan is excellent if you don't like to wait for a show, or if you are traveling with children who get antsy during long waits. You can make your reservation by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by booking online.

    Have a great time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
