Hi, we have a Fantasmic lunch package for the 9pm show. We chose this show because we have two under 3. But Paint the night has a show that day at 8:45. Is it possible to see Paint the Night and be 10-15 min late to reserved seating for Fantasmic?

Hi there, Kenya, and welcome back to planDisney!

It’s so exciting that you’re gearing up for another magical adventure at the Happiest Place on Earth! Booking a Dining Package is a great way to fuel up during the park day and eliminate the stress of camping out for a viewing spot for Fantasmic! at night. Trying to catch both shows in one night requires a bit of planning and flexibility, but I’ll be happy to guide you through your options. Let’s get started!

Typically, late arrivals are not accommodated for the Fantasmic! viewing area. You will need to check in according to the arrival time listed on the voucher that you receive with your dining package. While the Paint the Night parade begins at a certain time, it often takes a while before the performers reach a particular viewing area. For example, when my family and I experienced the parade, we watched on Main Street, U.S.A., and the parade did not reach us until 20 minutes after the scheduled start time.

To reduce stress, I recommend that you try to catch the second run of Paint the Night, which is typically at 10:30 PM. This way, you don’t risk missing your Fantasmic! viewing. Please keep an eye on the events calendar within the Disneyland mobile app, as schedules and availability are subject to change.

Bonus Tip: If you’re staying multiple days and have room in your budget, I would recommend booking the Paint the Night Dining Package! It includes lunch at the Plaza Inn and a reserved viewing area for the Paint the Night parade. This way, you can catch both shows during your vacation with ease, especially considering you’re navigating the parks with two littles.

Kenya, I hope this information is helpful and that you are able to enjoy both experiences during your trip! My pals and I here at planDisney are always happy to help if you have any additional questions as you plan your visit.

Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
