The Fantasmic, Dining Package... What time should I make my dinner reservation for?

    Hi Kathryn,

I am so happy that you are going to see Fantasmic! My favorite Disney Princess is Pocahontas, and she has a whole segment in the show. She rarely pops up in merchandise or shows so I always love going to see her in Fantasmic! Plus, the combination of the water screens, live action characters, and floats on the water all come together to create an amazing show. I hope you love it!

You did not mention which restaurant you chose for your dining reservation, so I will try to offer some general advice. At the Hollywood Brown Derby, the reservations for the Fantasmic! Dining Package begin at 3:30 p.m. with the latest reservation you can make being at 6:00 p.m. Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano reservation times are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Finally, Hollywood & Vine reservations begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.

You should plan around an hour and a half for dinner, and remember that on nights where there are two Fantasmic! showtimes, VIP seating is available for the first showtime only. Also keep in mind that you should arrive 20-30 minutes in advance of showtime to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater.

Combining all of that info, you should plan on having a reservation time at least 2.5 hours in advance of showtime. If you have reservations at Hollywood & Vine, any reservation time would work since they are so early in the day. If your reservations are for either of the other two restaurants, I advise you to find out the Fantasmic! showtime and count back 2.5 hours to figure out the latest possible dining reservation time.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else please let us know. Have a lovely dinner and show, as well as a magical vacation!
