The Fantasmic dining package was sold out for the night that we will be visiting Hollywood Studios. Other than standing in line for 2-3 hours to get a seat, is there any other place inside the park that is a good spot to watch the light show?

Hey, Amanda! Oh, I'm so sorry that the Fantasmic! dinner package you wanted was unavailable!  That's disappointing.  However, to offer you some hope, I've been to DHS at some of the busiest times, and I've always been able to get in and not have to wait more than an hour for Fantasmic! If there happens to be two show times, go to the later one.  With my family, I use the opportunity to "volunteer" to stand (sit) in line and enjoy some ice cream!  There really isn't another vantage point to see all the special effects of Fantasmic! It's not a typical fireworks show where most of the action occurs in the sky...it's a theatrical experience, and you really need to be in the theater to fully enjoy it. Also, if it has rained earlier or it's sprinkling with no thunder or lightning, the crowds thin out considerably, and the show usually goes on. If you happen to be at another park, that's when a park hopper option comes in handy, and you can scoot over to DHS to enjoy the show without much of a wait! (Just an inside tip!)  Here's hoping to a great seat at Fantasmic! Have a beautiful Alabama day and a most magical vacation!
