Jeff from OH Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

The Fantasia pool at All Star Movies is scheduled to be closed “January through April 2025”. Does that mean the closing begins on January 1 or just sometime during January?

Hey Howdy Hey Jeff and welcome back to planDisney fellow Buckeye!

Construction at the Walt Disney World Resort is inevitable. The constant pursuit of updating everything from attractions in the parks, to resort rooms and even pools happens regularly. While Disney does their best to minimize Guest impact with these updates, this may play a role in the plans of many. Let's talk about construction at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

You are right so far Jeff, at this time the Fantasia Pool is set to undergo routine maintenance from January 2025 through April 2025. Without more specific dates from Disney, I would plan on things being closed starting January 2nd, seeing that January 1st is New Year's Day. I would go in with that expectation and if anything changes it would be a pleasant surprise. You can always ask the front desk during check-in and by that time they will have a precise date to give you. If you did want to swim during your vacation, the Duck Pond Pool would still be an option.

The weather in central Florida can also be a little unpredictable at times during the late December and early January timeframe. While you may have temperatures that do offer some time to enjoy the pools, you may also find cooler weather pushes you to consider other activities. Resort hopping is a great way to spend some time during your non-park days. You can feel free to visit any or all resorts and enjoy the food and drinks either with quick service locations or sit-down locations depending on the resort. This can be easily done using Resort Transportation. If you take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can then board the Disney Skyliner to check out Disney's Riviera Resort. This resort is beautiful and is always on the top of my list to visit for a quick bite or to relax with a coffee.

I am sorry I cannot give you a definitive answer at this time and more of an approximation, but hopefully, you now have some options to consider if swimming is not on the table. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
