Hi there Makayla, and welcome to
planDisney! We're always happy to help fellow Space Rangers, cowboys, and toys en route to adventure. Before you blast off to infinity and beyond, let's talk about visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during Olaf's favorite season.
My husband and I are teachers with two young kiddos of our own, so we frequently visit the Disney Parks during the summer months. There is excitement in the air as families celebrate the end of another school year. Speaking of air, you'll find fans blowing cool breezes in many of the outdoor queues in the theme parks. Some of my planDisney pals and I enjoyed a ride on
Slinky Dog Dash just a few weeks ago, and I can confirm fans were keeping us comfortable while we waited. I also noticed fans in line nearby at
Alien Swirling Saucers and
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Makayla, in addition to seeking shade, air conditioning breaks, and fans while you enjoy the theme parks during the warmest time of year, I have a few other tips for you as well. First, it's important to drink plenty of water. I like to bring a water bottle from home and refill it with complimentary ice water cups from quick-service restaurants or water bottle refill stations located in some of the newer sections of the theme parks. You'll find several refill stations in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and
Pandora - The World of Avatar in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Also, if you're traveling with little ones, a stroller fan (we bought ours years ago from Amazon) is a handy mouseketool, and many adults like to bring cooling towels or personal fans to keep their temps down during the day.
I hope this is helpful as you count down the final days until the magic begins. Thanks for sending your question our way, and if there's anything else we can do before you go, come see us again. You've got a friend in me!
