I want a fancy cake for my daughters birthday. Where is the best place to order it. We are staying at CBR and we only have reservations for breakfast. I can pick it up though. I don't want the generic "sara lee" cakes.

    Maggie:

I'm looking to do the same thing for my son's 5-year-old birthday on our next visit!  Here's what I've found in doing a little research...

My first recommendation is to call Disney's Cake Hotline at: (407) 827-2253.  It will walk you through a menu of parks, restaurants, and resorts that will eventually get you to food and beverage at Old Shutters on the Caribbean Beach Resort property where you can place your order.  According to the cast member I spoke to, the cake will be made at the Boardwalk Bakery, but you'll be able to pick it up at the Market Street Food Court right on CBR property saving you the trouble of getting to the boardwalk!

The folks at the cake hotline will not only help you make a decision on the size of your cake (from 6" up to a full sheet!) but also the cake, filling, AND icing flavors!!  In addition, if you have a special character in mind, share it with them and they can turn your vision into a confectioner's masterpiece.  Just make sure you give at least 48 hours notice when placing your order.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation and happy birthday!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
