F&W Festival, Wed Nov 5, 4:30ish to close: Food Kiosks or ADR Teppan Edo at 6:50pm? Our family with boys 11,13,16 are foodies. Wondering if I should cancel Tappan Edo and eat around showcase kiosks instead.

    Hi Nina,

I love it when teenagers are foodies! My girls, now 16 and 22, both say they got their love of interesting food at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which we've been attending almost since the beginning 19 years ago.

If your family is like mine, they will have a blast eating their way around the world during the festival and will prefer that to a single sit-down meal. We just got home from a weekend trip to Epcot (yes, just Epcot because it's Food & Wine season) and managed to taste something from almost every marketplace. We usually share each taste so that we all can at least have a bite. It's amazing how fast you fill up taking a bite or two from several cuisines, so pace yourself.

My one caution: You can end up spending more than you expect because everything looks delicious. I would get each person a wristband gift card -- with a special Food & Wine design -- and load each with a specified amount. Tastes run from about $3.50 to $5.50 generally, if that helps. If you want to map out your must-tastes, I recommend perusing the list of marketplaces in advance.

A few of my favorites from this weekend: The grilled beef skewer from Patagonia; the venison sausage from New Zealand, the Beijing duck bun from China; the kielbasa and potato pierogi from Poland; the crispy pork belly from Brazil; and both the Nueske's pepper bacon hash and the "yard bird" from Farm Fresh.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. I love talking about Disney dining, especially during Food & Wine. Have a wonderful time with your family!
