My family(total 5) is planning to add WDW for 3 days to a cruise Jan 2013 and will be traveling with a 3 & 6 yr old and mom-in-law. Looking for suggestions for easiest access to MK. Was thinking Contemporary or WL? Any suggestions?

Hi Nancy! Sounds like you are planning a great trip with a cruise and then a stay at Walt Disney World. Between the two resorts you mentioned the Contemporary is by far the easiest resort to reach the Magic Kingdom from. You can actually walk along the sidewalks to the front entrance of the park and that will only take you about 10 minutes. You can also hop on the monorail but you then must go completely around the resort circle before reaching the park so that takes much longer. The Wilderness Lodge is a wonderful resort but it is not located on the monorail. You can easily reach the Magic Kingdom via boat launch so this resort is also convenient...just not as close as the Contemporary. Both have nice pools with the Contemporary leaning a bit more to the adult guest. But for three days either resort will be fine to enjoy some relaxation and the great Magic Kingdom park. Two other resort choices located close to the Magic Kingdom include the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. All four resorts mentioned are Deluxe offering similar amenities. Your choice will come down to the location and theme that pleases you the most. My suggestion....Contemporary main building.
