Hi, Nancy! I think one of the great things about a Disney Vacation is everyone finds magic in a different way. Some enjoy meeting the characters, some love all the dining choices, some guests take in all the behind-the-scenes with Disney tours, and for your daughter, she goes for the ATTRACTIONS!
My daughter who is 9 has been to Disney quite often, and every trip is different. One trip she wants to meet every princess and the next trip I can't get her off Rock 'n' Rollercoaster! For me, I just want her to enjoy herself and I love to see the magic through her eyes.
If there are specific things you want your daughter to see that you feel are more magical, maybe try planning a scavenger hunt. Things she can look for: Hidden Mickeys, 3 different princesses, 2 characters from a Pixar movie, the ferris wheel on "it's a small world," Dory on "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" or whatever you come up with! You can get some ideas on what to add to your list by clicking on list of attractions

Enjoy your vacation with your 8 year old princess, and just have FUN!
