My family's 1st trip to Disney this week. We are currently booked in a pirate room and I now understand that it is far away from all the food, drinks. Do you know if there are other accommodations to people staying so far away? I have two 4 yr olds.

Hello Monica and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I can just imagine how excited you must be feeling with your magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort right around the river bend in a few short days time, I know I love it when my own counter to Disney finally gets down to single digits!
Firstly, let me please put your mind at rest... having stayed with my own family at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort I am happy to reassure you that although this is a large Resort, it is not so massive that you cannot easily walk around it.  In fact my family enjoys a gentle stroll around the very pretty Barefoot Bay, which usually concludes on one of the lovely little beach areas and always with a swing on an inviting hammock!
Also if you so wish, you can save your feet by utilising the internal Resort shuttle buses which run a regular service from each of the 6 island villages (including Trinidad South where the Pirate Rooms are located) to the Custom House and Old Port Royale Centre Town where the Fuentes del Morro pool and all dining locations can be found.
Each island village also benefits from its own quiet pool which also has the added connivence of a self serve Laundry Service.
I'm quite sure you'll love island life with a pirate twist at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!
    Have a great Disney day.
