This will be my family's 1st time to Disney. We will be there for 7 days. I don't know where to begin. I have a 13 year old daughter and 6 year old son -what are the must do's on our first trip?

    Hi Saji!

Several Walt Disney World Mom Panelists answered a question about planning a first trip and you can read their advice here.

I also suggest ordering the free planning DVD.  You can watch it with your children to see what peaks their interest.  I also recommend that first time visitors pick up a good tour book on  Walt Disney World.  My favorite for first time visitors is  "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book that has won many awards.  It's also a very beautiful tour book full of color photographs.  Another good book with lots of pictures is the "Color Companion to Walt Disney World" by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa.

A common mistake made by first time visitors is not making dining reservations.  Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) can be made up to 180 days in advance and many Walt Disney World restaurants book up very quickly.  ADRs can be made by calling (407) WDW-DINE or online here.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
