This will be our family's first trip to wdw. We are staying at pop century. I was wondering if we have our car would it be better to just drive ourselves to the parks or take the buses. Thanks.

    Sandra:

Our family wondered the same thing, so on several trips we've used our car only, buses only, and all combinations in-betwen!

In my opinion, take Disney transportation to Magic Kingdom--no matter what resort you're staying at!  (If you take your car, you must park at Ticketing & Transportation and then ride the monorail.  So, a bus ride is much easier!)

As for the other parks, if you're staying at a resort that is only served by buses (like Pop Century) and you have a car, take the car, but only if you are planning to get to the parks early or if you're visiting during Value Season.  Otherwise, you may find that you're parking your car so far out, that by the time you take a tram, you might as well should have taken a bus!

Bus transportation, especially at the value resorts, is plentiful, and best of all, does not make stops at multiple resorts.  It's also convenient if you'd like to embibe or have youngsters who see any transportation like another Disney attraction!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
