Our family's first trip to DW is going to be June 6-13 2013. I'm trying to figure out which parks would be the best to visit on which days. We plan on MK 2 days, AK 1 and HS 2. Please help!

    Heather,

This memorable first time Disney trip will be here before you know it! I hope you have a countdown going. The countdown is almost as fun for my kids as the trip itself. Before you know it, you'll be one day out and "too excited to sleep"!

I looked online at the dates you will be there and taking into account the Extra Magic Hours (available to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests) and my philosophy of splitting up the parks so that you don't go to one park two days in a row, I have come up with a tentative plan for you to consider.

Since I am not sure if you have park hopper tickets, I am going to suggest just one park a day. However, if you do have them, please take advantage of that! We rarely go into the parks on our arrival day so as not to waste one of our days if our flight is delayed. I also like to start our Disney trips in the Magic Kingdom.  Conveniently, June 7th has Extra Magic Evening Hours in the Magic Kingdom. On June 8th, I would go to Animal Kingdom with Extra Magic Morning Hours. Since I like to split up days at the same park, then you may want to go to Hollywood Studios on the 9th or 10th. Then, either work in reverse order.  I did notice that the Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Morning Hours on your departure day. So, depending on your departure time, it might work out to get every last drop of fun and magic in before you leave! I did notice that you didn't mention any days at Epcot!  There is so much to do and see there and it is personally one of my favorite parks, so don't sell it short and at least consider one day there if time allows!

I hope this was able to help you in some way. Have a magical time and remember to embrace the small unplanned moments of wonder and delight that make every Disney vacation special!
