This is my family's first time to visit WDW. I know there is so much to see & do. Are there any sample itineraries that I can use as a guide to planning our trip. We will be staying@ Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. We will be there for 7 days.

There are many sample itineraries out there. Among the best that I have seen are those in the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. I highly recommend this book to all Disney visitors. It is available in many libraries and is easily found in most bookstore and on for about $20.00. I really feel this is the must-purchase guide to WDW. There are many pages of the Unofficial Guide that are devoted to sample touring plans based on various needs: ages of kids, time allotted to the trip, etc.

Another good source of sample itineraries is the fee-based website called On this site (which you can access for about $20.00), you put in all your travel information such as the ages of your children, the dates of your trip, any special needs, etc.  Tourguidemike will then create a day-by-day touring plan for you optimized to avoid crowds and maximize the number of attractions you can enjoy.

One other good source of information would be to go to and search on "trip reports." You will find many people here who have described their trips in great depth and will detail the successful and unsuccessful parts of their touring plans.

Hope you can find something here that helps.
