Hi, this will be my family's first time going to Disney in Florida I wanted to know what month is it a good time to go? I prefer december but we are unsure. Also my family consist of my husband, my 9yr boy, 7yr(girl) my 2yr(girl) and myself

    Hi Gabriel!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I think the best time of year to go is the first two weeks of December.  The weather is usually beautiful and the crowds are relatively low to medium.  The parks and the resorts are also beautifully decorated for the end of year holidays and there are a lot of holiday activities in swing, including Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights in the Magic Kingdom.

However, I haven't taken my family there during that time in several years because we have been hesitant to pull my oldest out of school.  So we have usually gone instead in October, over Martin Luther King Junior Weekend in January, or over President Day's Weekend in February.  The crowds are greater on a holiday, but it has worked out well for us.

Summer is a very popular time of year to visit Walt Disney World, but we don't like the heat and humidity and the large crowds.  In fact, July as a whole is the most crowded month at Walt Disney World.  June is a little less crowded and August is a lot less crowded during the last two weeks of that month than the rest of the summer.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions; you can send them directly to me or anybody on the panel!
