    It is my family's first disney cruise to the Bahamas in January 2017 I want to know how is the weather like in January and when we get to the Bahamas what is there to do when we get off the ship. Is there a beach we can go that is with the cruise.

    Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! Your pirate crew will enjoy adventurous sailing and fun when you visit the Bahamas! January is one of the coolest months for the Bahamas with an average temperature of 70 degrees. I am sure that there are many folks in North America who would love to experience weather like that in January! There will still be plenty of sun, but the water may be a little chilly for some. My sea pups were swimming like fish and had no complaints about the temperature. There are so many fun things to do in the Bahamas once your crew debarks the ship.

    Your pirate family can tour shops, visit merchants, and get hair braiding right outside the ship. However, for cruisers wanting to experience beach time, I recommend a Port Adventure with Disney or taking a taxi to the beach. Two popular excursions to the beach are the Atlantis Beach Day & Discover Atlantis and the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day. After a short 25-minute bus ride, your pirate crew can enjoy Atlantis Beach, tour the famous aquariums, and enjoy lunch. My sea pups loved Atlantis and our time on the island went by so quickly! The Blue Lagoon Island Beach is accessible by a ferry boat and pirate buccaneers can enjoy white sandy beaches, bicycle rides, or watch the dolphins.
