    Hi! My family’s going to Disney in March and we will be on the dining plan. We have family friends who live in Orlando that are going to join us for a meal. Will we be able to still use our dining plan meals and pay out of pocket for their meal? Thanks!

    Hi Mary, 

    Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  It's wonderful that you are able to meet your friends for a delicious meal at Walt Disney World Resort.  

    One of the many great features of the Disney Dining Plan is it's flexibility.  Since you are going to be using the Disney Dining Plan and your guests will not, simply tell your server at the beginning of the meal that some will be using the plan while others will not.  Your server will split the cheque accordingly and when its time, your meals will come off of the Disney Dining Plan and the other meals can be taken care of using cash, credit card or Disney Gift Cards.  I would recommend reviewing your cheque to ensure the correct allotments were used, as sometimes mistakes are made.
