My family’s annual pass expires 11/2/22. Can we renew our passes so we can make park pass reservations for our trip starting 11/23/22? We are DVC members too.

Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with another great vacation planning question. It's so fun to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member and Annual Passholder!

Oh, my family and I just LOVE spending Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World Resort! It's so easy to feel a ton of gratitude and give thanks when we are all together in The Most Magical Place on Earth. There is no better way to kick off the holiday season. I mean, is there anything more magical than Magic Kingdom Park decorated for the holidays?! I love just sitting in the hub with a Mickey pretzel, listening to the holiday music and soaking in all of the magic. I am SO excited for you and yours to have this most magical holiday vacation this year, so, let's chat about how to get you there!

Walt Disney World Annual Passes can be renewed up to 60 days before the pass expiration date. So, that means that you will be able to renew your family's Annual Passes and then make your Theme Park Pass reservations on September 3, 2022. If you will be renewing the Disney Sorcerer Passes for DVC Members, call (407) 566-3800 and hit Option 1. If you will be renewing Disney Incredi-Passes, you can log in to your My Disney Experience account or app and renew online.

Important tip! Before choosing your Annual Passes, be sure to check out the blockout dates, as the Disney Sorcerer Pass for DVC Members is blocked out for Thanksgiving. I'd suggest renewing to the Disney Incredi-Pass to avoid blockout dates during your upcoming pixie-dusted holiday adventure.

Jennifer, I know that you must be concerned about Theme Park Pass reservation availability after your Annual Pass renewal date, so, let's chat about that. I can relate to these concerns, because I also have a vacation planned right after my Annual Pass expiration and will not be able to make my Park Pass reservations until approximately 60 days before my trip. As someone who loves planning ahead, patience is not my strong suit! I called DVC Member Services to voice my concerns about Park Pass availability and see if I could purchase my renewal certificate early. The helpful Cast Member informed me that, unfortunately, she could not renew my Pass earlier than 60 days before the expiration. However, since you will be at Walt Disney World Resort during a holiday, I'd suggest calling (407) 560-PASS or (407) 560-7277 to discuss your concerns about Park Pass availability. While I do not know if they will be able to make an exception for you, I'm a firm believer that it never hurts to ask! You never know. Disney is magical, after all!

Since the most important things on Thanksgiving are family and food, make your Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days before your arrival! Be sure to check out The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom Park! The menu is traditional Thanksgiving fare, similar to Liberty Tree Tavern, and it is a hidden gem, in my opinion!

Jennifer, I hope that you have the most magical holiday family vacation to kick off a magical holiday season! Stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions.

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
