The family(myself, wife, 9 year old and 2 year old) were thinking about coming down Dec. 16-Dec. 21, would it be wiser to try and come the first two weeks of December with the crowds?

It seems it is getting harder and harder to predict the crowd patterns around the holidays.  This past year people found the first week or so to be quite crowded at Walt Disney World and it could be that more guests are coming for the taping of the Christmas parade which usually takes place the first weekend in December.  December 16-21 might be just fine with crowds as the resorts generally start booking up starting the weekend before the 25th.  Again this is a tough time to predict the patterns of the tourists but it is one of my favorite times to be at Walt Disney World.  I love the holiday decorations and events that are in each park.  There is nothing more magical then the castle at the Magic Kingdom adorned in all the beautiful lights!
