My family(hus and 1 6yo) always stay at a deluxe res. This yr(fall 2012) we're thinking about mod to save $$. nervous that we'll be disapp with accomods. We usually spend 1 day at resort pool during trip.we're thinking coronado? wch is ur fav? thoughts

Hi Tracey, and thanks so much for your question!  I am so happy to help you with your upcoming Disney World vacation.

I absolutely love Disney's Deluxe level resorts and this is usually my family's choice when it comes to accommodations.  Disney World Resort's Deluxe hotels offer guests an unparalleled level of service, convenience, and comfort, not to mention luxurious decor and surroundings.

While I am a huge proponent of Deluxe resorts for obvious reasons, I will tell you that Disney's Moderate resorts may surprise you.

On our last trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, we decided to opt for a moderate resort and in exchange, were able to extend our stay for several days due to the money we saved.

We chose Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, and I must say we were extremely pleased.  The rooms have been newly renovated and were spacious, clean, and comfortable.  I was thoroughly  impressed by the rich decor and attention to detail found in our Magnolia Terrace Room and since we drove, we loved being able to have access to our vehicle, which was parked directly in front of our building.

As far as the pools go, we spent lots of time at the resort's main pool and recreation area, Ol' Man Island.  My little one loved the water slide and had a blast playing in the waterfalls.  Parents can enjoy kicking back with a cocktail from Muddy Rivers Pool Bar.

I have not personally stayed at Coronado Springs, but encourage you to check out AllEars.net for lots of in depth information on this resort, and all Disney World resort hotels, including room specs and photos and descriptions of each pool area!

No matter which Walt Disney World Resort hotel you choose, I am sure you will be happy with your choice.  Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!  -Amanda
