Family of 5, 3 young boys. Is there a cancellation policy for booking Fort wilderness?

Hey there, Sarah! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with such a great question.

It sounds as if the magic is calling you, Sarah, and I couldn't be happier to hear that you're answering the call and planning your magical family adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! And since you're planning to stay at either The Campsites or The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, your planning is off to a practically perfect start. There is a seemingly endless list of incredible recreational activities at this Resort, and it is the perfect magical home away from home, especially for a family with three little Wilderness Explorers. I'm more than happy to answer your question and help you and your family explore The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Travel plans do sometimes change, but Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries." I think you will be happy to hear that Walt Disney World Resort (including Fort Wilderness Resort) does have a cancellation policy. At this time, if you book a vacation package, which includes your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets, as long as you cancel 30 days or before your scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit and any payments made. If you have to cancel 2-29 days before your arrival, you will forfeit your $200 (prices subject to change) deposit. Any cancellations made one day or less before the scheduled arrival date cannot be refunded.

If you book a room-only reservation at Fort Wilderness Resort, you will have up to five days before your arrival to cancel with a full refund. However, since policies can change, just be sure to read the terms, conditions and cancellation policy when booking. Happy planning!

When you are planning how long to stay and how many days to add to your multi-day theme park ticket, be sure to plan some downtime at your Resort! With activities such as the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience, canoe rentals, pony rides at Tri-Circle-D Ranch and so much more, you and your little guys will definitely want to spend some time enjoying the pixie-dusted wilderness.

I hope this helps, Sarah, and I hope you'll stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. See ya real soon!

    Adventure is out there!
