Hi there Vicki!
When choosing between Disney's Moderate level Resort Hotel Properties, the hands-down winner for me personally is always
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. I absolutely love this quaint property, nestled along the shores of the 'Sassagoula River' and just a stone's throw (ok - a boat ride) from the shops and dining of Downtown Disney.
The resort's central location on Disney property makes your travel times to all of the Parks and Water Parks about equal. Due to the resort's small size, I find that the Quick Service Dining Area is never terribly hectic in the mornings. With just one bus stop at the resort itself, (and with it being the first stop when sharing the bus with Riverside) securing yourself a seat on the bus is rarely an issue.
The rooms are equipped with two queen beds and a double sink and mirror set up outside the bathroom. With a teenage girl myself, I find this 'sink & mirror outside the bathroom' set-up to be particularly handy when everyone are trying to get ready to leave in the mornings.
The feature pool area 'Doubloon Lagoon' features a fun, serpent water slide as well as a hot tub tucked away in the gardens.
Given the choice between the four, moderate properties you mention, I'd choose French Quarter to return to every time. It's one of those 'hidden gems' at Walt Disney World... Practically perfect in every way! ;)
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to write back Vicki. I'd love to hear from you again.
Wishing you a simply Magical time planning your family's visit to Walt Disney World!
