    Family WDW trip in Nov 2013. We have NOT purchased a dining plan or booked a room yet, but we plan to in the next month. If I make meal reservations NOW with a credit card, can that be transferred to our meal plan once it's purchased?

    Hi Stephanie!  Definitely make your dining reservations now as they will become harder and harder to get as the time of your vacation gets closer. Understand that some of the dining will require two credits from each guest so when planning your days you will want to count carefully so you understand if you "run out" of dining credits before your vacation ends.

    You will apply your dining reservations to your plan at each meal. They will ask you if you are on a Disney dining plan when you are seated. If you choose to pay up front then you simply will tell them. If you wish to use that meal as part of your plan then you will tell them you are on the dining plan and they will deduct from your credits.

    So its best to understand which restaurants require more then one credit and make your reservations now. The credit card locations are generally the two credit spots so just understand also the cancellation policies so your credit card is not charged and cancellation fee. Lots to look forward to and plan for when it comes to choosing your dining spots!
