Hi Kristie,
The holidays are such an incredible time to visit the Disney World Resort. There are beautiful decorations everywhere!
As part of my holiday "must-sees", I love to visit the hotels to see the displays presented by the WDW Food & Beverage Team.
After you visit the gingerbread house at Grand Floridian, hop on the resort monorail and head over to the Contemporary Resort. In the Grand Canyon Concourse you'll find a 17 ft Gingerbread Holiday Tree. You'll also find a one-of-a-kind Contemporary Resort Gingerbread House complete with a chocolate monorail riding through it.
One of my favorite displays is at Disney's Beach Club Resort. There you'll find a magnificent life-size Holiday Carousel. And yes - its edible! Did I mention is also spins??
When you've finished at Beach Club, climb aboard a Friendship Boat and cruise over to Disney's Boardwalk Resort. A gazebo in the lobby features a holiday scene made of gingerbread and chocolate. Hungry yet? Head into the Boardwalk Bakery from some delicious treats.
You can finish your day at Downtown Disney for some holiday shopping and dinner during
Festival of the Seasons. Santa will be there from November 19th - December 24, 2011. After that, Santa Goofy will take his place from December 25, 2011 - January 2, 2012.
Wishing you minnie magical holiday memories :-) Allison
