    Hi, my family and I are going to WDW, Port Orleans Riverside on Jan. 20, 2015 and are very excited. My husband is an avid Purple Martin watcher and we were wondering who to talk to about Disney's Purple Martin program and where the bird houses are located

    Hi Tanya!

    I love all the programs that Walt Disney World has in place to promote a healthy planet, and ecosystem.  James Mejeur over at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be your best bet to find this information.  He's a zoological manager at the park, and partnered with the Purple Martin Conservation Association for a project back in 2013 (detailed on Disney Parks Blog).

    I understand that all the houses are not accessible to guests, but there are a few at Epcot, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  I'm hoping that James will be able to give you the current information about the locations.
