Hi, Matthew! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Having a daughter with a severe nut allergy, I used to think I would have to pack all of her snacks when we traveled. Luckily, at Walt Disney World Resort, there is no need to pack allergy-friendly snacks as they do a wonderful job accommodating her allergy. When we make a Table Service reservation, either online or by phone, we add the allergy to the reservation, as well as remind a Cast Member when we arrive at check-in for our meal. Usually, they already have it noted in BIG RED LETTERS on our reservation paper slip. When we are seated, we are often asked if we would like to speak to the chef, or if the allergy-friendly menu is sufficient. We have spoken to the chef at a few of the buffet-style meals as sometimes it is more difficult to prevent cross-contamination. Many Quick Service locations throughout Disney Springs and the Disney Theme Parks also now offer allergy-friendly menus, too!
As for chocolate bars and other baked goods with Disney Characters, the “
Snacks with Characters” might just be what you are looking for. They tend to be sold in merchandise locations but are also available at some Quick Service locations. The items range from chocolate bars, to chocolate chip cookies, to lemon burst cookies! The best part is that they have all of your favorite Disney Characters and are fun to share! If you don’t find something that suits you here, or you happen to be enjoying a Quick Service meal, I would definitely check with a Cast Member as they usually know all of the options. Might I also suggest checking out the
Special Dietary Requests page for further information?
