Hi Moms! My family will be at WDW May 28-June 2 with teens and twenty-somethings. Are there any special events for the opening of the Art of Animation Resort? We are on a VERY tight budget and looking for some less expensive ideas. Thnx!

    Hi Lisa!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

The Art of Animation Resort is wonderful, you are going to love it! There are not any specific opening events at the resort, but there are lots of fun things to do on a tight budget at Walt Disney World.

Try these suggestions for Walt Disney World on a budget:

    • Eat a large breakfast around 10:00 a.m. that will tide you over until dinner.
    • Bring your own snacks, such as apples, cheese sticks and crackers, so you won't have to buy snacks in the park.
    • Buy a water bottle with a built-in filter before you leave home and bring it with you to the parks everyday. Fill it up with water from the water fountain so you don't have to buy water.
    • Spend one day at your resort and enjoy the pool, to save you from buying an extra day park ticket. Then take the Disney Transportation to the Tickets and Transportation Center (TTC) and then to The Polynesian to watch Wishes from the beach.
    • Bring as many items as you can from home to save you from having to buy them at the parks, such as sunscreen, sunglasses, bottled water, etc..
Please let me know if you need any additional tips for making your vacation absolutely magical!

    Magically,
    Stacy
