hi, my family and I will be at WDW 17-24 Jan 09. Do you know if the crowds will be heavy? We have been to WDW around 11 times but we always go in July. We are staying at WL for first time. Have read that the bus transportation is not very good? Thanks.

Hi Roger.   As I am sure you know, the week you are traveling includes the Martin Luther King holiday.  However, I have visited previously over this weekend and found crowd levels to still be quite reasonable.   So, other than a slightly higher crowd level during the first few days of your trip, I believe you find this to be a relatively quiet week to visit.   Compared to your July visits, this should definitely be the case.

I think you will find the Wilderness Lodge a very nice play to stay.  As for the bus transportation, I didn't recall this being a whole lot different than other resorts we stayed at.   While the buses were sometimes shared with the Wilderness campground, this only slowed things up a tad.   One suggestion I do make when staying at the Wilderness Lodge is to visit the Whispering Canyon Cafe.   This is a really terrific place for families and is one of our family favorites (as well as many of the other Moms!).   Hope this helps.
