    My family of 7 will be in WDW Jan 5-12, on the DDP. I LOVE the Main Street Bakery, and am concerned it will be closed during my stay. Any definites?

    Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.

    Although the planned closure of the Main Street Bakery is indeed slated for January 2013, no firm date has yet been officially announced. Since you're visiting early in the month, I'm going to hold out hope that you may get to visit for at least part of your visit? Let's hope so! I'm visiting mid-month and I'm hopeful as well. Let's keep our fingers crossed for now until we hear otherwise!

    In the meantime, I'd suggest that you keep an eye on both the Disney Parks Blog, the Park Hours page of the Walt Disney World website (the parks' hours are updated to also show closures and refurbishments as these become known) or back here at the Moms Panel, for all the latest news.

    I'd guess that by the time we get into the month of December, the firm date will have been announced. Feel free to check back with me and I'll be happy to keep an eye out for both of us!

    Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World ... and at least 3 or 4 visits to the beloved Main Street Bakery!
