Our family is going to WDW for the very first time in November! We are staying offsite at our timeshare, but I am curious to know if we should still purchase the Magic Bands, and we will be able to link a credit card, fast pass, etc to it?

    Hi Katie,

The fall is a wonderful season to visit Walt Disney World Resort.

By the time you get there, the Resort will be getting ready to celebrate the holiday season. And you want to experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a separate ticketed event, where you can join Mickey Mouse and celebrate the season with live entertainment, and special parades and fireworks.

A MagicBand is the best thing since sliced bread. Once you link it to you My Disney Experience account, it will give you access to your Theme Park tickets, you FastPass+ reservations, your PhotoPass account, and when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, it will be your key to open your room and also let you charge purchases to your room folio.

Since you will be staying off site, you will not be able to link a credit card to the MagicBands for purchases. A regular ticket will still work for all other things, however, there's a few attractions that give you photos and videos that exclusively work with MagicBands, such as when zipping down Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, or falling with style at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. See you real soon!
