My family will be going to WDW for the first time in November! Our daughter will turn 9 while we are there; are there any "perks" to having a birthday while you are there? We have our room booked, but will any specials be released prior to that

    Hello April!

You must be so excited about your very first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in November!  You can never be sure if or when discounts will become available.  If I were you, I would periodically check the Special Offers at the Walt Disney World Resort page for updates.

With regard to birthdays, the folks at Walt Disney World do a fabulous job of making magic and recognizing those special days.  The first thing you'll want to do is have the reservationists notate your daughter's birthday at each dining location.  Upon check-in at the restaurants, let them know about her birthday as well.  Each restaurant will recognize her birthday in some unique way.  From special birthday buttons to cakes and more, take a look at the many ways you might choose to recognize your daughter's birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Mom Panel.

I wish you an extra magical first vacation to the "World!"
