Hi, My family will be going to WDW for the first time in July with 6 days at the parks. Is it worth it to opt for the hopper option? My son is 5 yrs old and I am worried with the Florida heat he might be to tired to handle more than one park a day.

    Hi Clarissa!

So glad to hear that you are taking your first trip soon! I think that there will be enough to experience at each park throughout your visit, that you should be able to go at a pace more comfortable to suit your son, especially in the Florida heat. I recommend going at a child's pace anyway, since it will allow you to take in more of the magic!

As for park hopping, it isn't a necessity for making the trip fun and worth while. It does add flexibility if you want to make plans to visit a different park, perhaps to catch a show or have dinner elsewhere.  If you have plans to take mid day breaks to cool down back at your resort, you might find that there is plenty to explore if you revisit the same park later that day and you won't feel that you missed out by not having the park hopper option. Worst case scenario if you decide mid way through your visit that you want the option to park hop, you can then add the park hopper to your tickets by visiting guest relations. Hope this helps!

     Have a magical vacation!
