My family will be going to WDW at the end of August. I'm in a debate about where to stay. At Pop Century or rent a condo outside of Disney. Family of 2 adults and 7 kids. Would like to do the free dining and Extra Magic Hours, but more costly. Worth it?

I was just at Walt Disney World last week. I stayed on property and it was the best move I could make. The transportation savings costs alone will make it worth it. Additionally, unless you know where you are going, it might be confusing to drive from place to place. Disney has solved all of those problems with the amazing on property transportation they have. Complimentary Resort Transportation are the three greatest words ever. Remember, the transportation includes boats, busses and the Monorail system. It's always great to catch a boat to your resort, let me tell you. These are the memories you want. Memories of riding the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom or traveling on it right through the center of Disney's Contemporary Hotel. Getting lost in your car in Orlando because you missed the exit is not what you want, trust me! Additionally, with the large party you have it will be nice to all travel together which might be difficult with such a large party unless you have more then one vehicle. As for the Extra Magic Hours, it is a great opportunity to enjoy additional time in Walt Disney World parks—above and beyond the standard operating schedule—at no extra charge. This special perk is offered to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  Each day, one of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks opens one hour early or remains open up to 3 hours after regular closing time. Additionally, Disney Water Parks offer Extra Magic Hours during select times of year. For all of these reasons and many more I would suggest that you need to stay on property. See you at the parks.
