Ahoy, Catherine and welcome to planDisney!
This is such a great question! I have been on many
Specialty Fireworks Cruises at
EPCOT and near
Magic Kingdom Park. In fact, my husband and I took our first one the night we got engaged over 16 years ago. Since then, I've taken my family and friends on these special voyages and I can tell you they are awesome!
You can choose which marina you would like to leave from, based on availability. Each boat has a captain who will take you around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon and give you a little Disney trivia along the way. You can 100% see the fireworks from the Seven Seas Lagoon as these boats stop right in front of the Magic Kingdom and you can hear the music that plays during the show as well. The only disadvantage is that you can't see the Cinderella Castle projections up close during the show, but the private boat experience and the fireworks view is well worth it. One of my favorite specialty cruises was on a
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party night, so I can tell you from experience that they do go out on nights when there are special parties at Magic Kingdom Park.
It seems as though the booking window for the specialty cruises is always changing, but currently it is 60 days in advance. There are a limited number of boats, so make sure you call early to secure one for your family. You can inquire about having special birthday decorations added to your sailing as well.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
