Hi! My family is going to WDW 9/27/14-10/4/14. My date to begin making ADRs is 3/31/14 (fast approaching!) I'm nervous b/c park hrs havent been released for my whole trip- making it hard to map out which park/which day. Can you assist?

    Hi Kristina!

Are you my long lost sister?  I too love pre-planning as many details of my vacations as possible.  Being able to make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance has been both a blessing and a source of anxiety for the "uber-planner" in me.  So I totally understand your combination excitement and nervousness at the prospect of making dining reservations without fully knowing the park hours and special events.

What I like to do is use reputable sources, like touringplans.com, for information to help me plan which parks my family would like to visit each day.  Touring Plans does a good job at "guessing" the park hours, special events, and even recommends which parks to visit several months in advance.  Touring Plans requires a small paid subscription if you want to view dates beyond the immediate 30 days.  Additionally to predicted crowd calendars and estimated park hours, they have "plans" for how to tour each park to maximize the magic for your family's priorities.

After I have made my dining reservations and my plans change or park hours are altered, I then update my dining reservations accordingly.  Usually if I use the above strategy I don't have to make very many changes.

I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning Kristina.  If you have any more questions, please come back again and ask them here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I would love to help you any way I can!

    Blessings,
