Family going to WDW Christmas 2012, 4 adults, one 4 yr old & triplets, a little over 1 yr (4 car seats). Bus trans.will be long & difficult with two dbl strollers, etc. Does WDW offer other transportation or anything else for this type of situati

    Barbara,

Christmas in WDW is a magical time. Just prepare for crowds if you'll be there over the actual holiday. In fact, I would suggest renting a vehicle to make the entire trip easier on the adults and kids. If you watch for discounts (try www.mousesavers.com) you may be able to find a good rate on a large size vehicle. I think it would be worth the extra expense as it would save you time and aggravation.

When our son was younger, we always rented a vehicle. We had our stroller with us at all times and he could comfortably relax (and sleep!) between the park and hotel. Folding and unfolding strollers to get on and off a bus can add stress to what should be a fun vacation. Even now with an 11 year old, we prefer to rent a vehicle. We feel it's an investment in our vacation to save time and stress.

WDW does not offer other convenient transportation service unless you are staying at a monorail resort. A monorail resort would allow you to easily travel between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot while boarding with two strollers. You wouldn't need to fold those strollers up on the monorail! Of course, the monorail resorts are more expensive than other resort options. An Epcot resort would allow you to walk between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. These resorts are the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, and Yacht Club.

Mears Transportation has large taxi vans on property but fares would add up quickly.

Happy planning for a fun-filled trip!
