Hello ! My family is wanting to plan a trip to Disney in Florida for 2026 . We are wanting to plan and save. So we are trying to figure out how much we should save. We are thinking 10 adults and 4 children.

    Hello there!

Planning a Disney vacation is such an exciting adventure! With a group as magical as yours, sure to create memories to last a lifetime. Let’s talk about how to make those dreams come true while keeping an eye on your budget.

First, the great news is that there are countless ways to sprinkle a little pixie dust on your savings! Keep an eye out for Special Offers released by Disney throughout the year. These can include discounts on Disney Resorts Collection hotels or special ticket packages. Timing is everything, so planning during less-crowded times, like early February or late summer might not only save you a bit of cash but also give you shorter wait times for your favorite attractions.

When it comes to accommodations, Disney offers a variety of options to fit every budget. For larger groups, Value Resorts like Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are fantastic choices. These resorts are brimming with Disney charm and often include Family Suites, which can comfortably fit your group. If you’re looking for a little more space, you might even explore staying in a Deluxe Villa. Don’t forget that combining multiple rooms in one resort is likely going to be the best way to accommodate your family if you choose to stay at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Now, another option is to rent a property off-site. There are many huge houses in the surrounding area that aren’t very far from the Theme Parks. My family has done this and it’s really fun to have a house that you can cook in, take some night swims, and play a game of cards together at the end of the day. It’s also a great way to save money but it does take a bit more planning as you’ll need to figure out the best way to transport your family to the theme parks.

It’s also helpful to think about how you want to prioritize your spending. Are park tickets and access to the newest attractions your top priority? Or is your family dreaming of dining with beloved Disney characters? Once you determine what’s most important, you can start tailoring your budget to meet those magical goals.

At the end of the day, the best budget is one that feels comfortable for your family. Start planning, set your savings goal, and know that the magic of Disney is always worth it. Whether you’re zooming down Space Mountain or meeting Mickey Mouse for the very first time, every moment will be filled with wonder!
