Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Family trips to the Walt Disney World Resort are the best!
If you prefer to stay in the same room, I would suggest a suite or villa. There are a number of different
Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resort options. On our first visit with our girls, my parents came with us and we stayed in a 2 Bedroom villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Since then, I have stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Animal Kingdom Lodge. All are beautiful resorts with fabulous amenities. I would compare prices for all of them, then consider location as well. We prefer the resorts that have access to the resort monorail. It just makes traveling with a larger group a bit quicker.
My biggest piece of advice is to check the amenities of the suite or villa. At Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, we had a washer and dryer, full kitchen, two bathrooms and a balcony. The villa had a bedroom with a king-sized bed and bathroom along with another bedroom that had two queen-sized beds and a bathroom. The living room also had a Queen-size sleeper sofa.. Although we did not cook, we did use the kitchen to put together an instant breakfast with coffee each day and we had plenty of room to store our leftovers in the refrigerator. We also washed clothes three times that week and it was fabulous to be able to do it in the room!
Stephanie, since the suites and villas can be more expensive, we always check the
Special Offers. No matter what, we like to save money! With a large group, be sure to create a My Disney Experience Account - link your park tickets, make Fast Pass+ selections and dining reservations!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
