My family and I wanted to keep from bringing so much cash on our vacation so we are going to load our money on a prepaid visa card. My question is can we use the prepaid visa card for everything at walt disney world also?

Kelly, I'm that guy who never carries cash. No I'm not the guy in front of you at the grocery store who takes two years to write a check - I'm the guy ahead of him who is paying for a pack of gum with a debit card. Uh huh. C'est moi.

At Disney World, I've never been at a disadvantage paying for nearly everything with a plastic card of some sort. I've even burned down a Visa gift card and a Disney rewards Visa card on property. The trick is to know your Visa gift card balance and not to use the card on a purchase that exceeds the remaining balance on the card. (For example, if you have $10.96 left on the card and the purchase comes to $11, ask the cast member to put $10.96 on the gift card and pay the balance with another card - or cash.)

The only situation where I wasn't able to use a card was with a street vendor before the evening parade, and I only wish I didn't have $18 cash in my wallet to cover the acquisition of an LED wand.
