My family and I will be at Walt Disney World March 5-12. We have a park reservation at Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, March 9 and also have a dinner reservation at Steakhouse 71. Are we going to have difficulty reentering Magic Kingdom because of crowds?

    Hey there, hi there Larry!

The countdown is on! Your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up quickly, and I'm sure your whole family is buzzing with excitement!

March 9 sounds like a fantastic day for a visit to Magic Kingdom. (Then again, is there ever a day that isn't a fantastic day to visit a Disney theme park?) The park is open late that night, until 11:00 PM. While I love spending time in Magic Kingdom, taking a break to either go back to your resort for a rest or heading off to a restaurant outside of the park can really help your whole family recharge.

Dinner at Steakhouse 71 sounds like a perfectly delicious break. It's a relatively short walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort, or it's a quick trip on the monorail if your feet need a break. Take your time with dinner, relax, and be sure to save room for the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake. Don't worry about getting back into Magic Kingdom after your meal. As long as you have a park reservation you can leave and come back as often as you like that day.

Hope this helps. Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
