Hi Nikki,
How exciting to be planning your first Walt Disney World vacation. I love your plan to spend a day at
Magic Kingdom. I do generally suggest that first-time visitors to Walt Disney World go to the Magic Kingdom. It was the first Disney theme park in Florida, and is what most guests think of when they think of Walt Disney World!
Beyond that, which other theme park you visit will depend on your family's specific interests. I truly believe that there is something for everyone at every Walt Disney World park. I suggest that you take a look at the
Walt Disney World planning video in order to get a feeling for what each theme park has to offer. I can also offer you a few suggestions.
If your children like either Disney Junior or Star Wars, you will want to head to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you can meet characters and have experiences from both of these worlds. If your children are interested in animals, of course
Disney's Animal Kingdom is the place to go. From seeing animals including giraffes and elephants on Kilimanjaro Safaris, to amazing shows such as Festival of the Lion King, this theme park highlights animals in wonderful ways. Finally, if your children enjoy experiencing cultures from around the globe, consider a trip to
Epcot. My daughter loved to stroll around World Showcase and stop at all of the Kidcot Fun Stops along the way.
No matter which theme park you chose, I am sure that you will have a magical experience visiting Walt Disney World with your family for the first time, Nikki!
