My family of 4 visits WDW, esp. MK and AK. My husband has back issues that are aggravated by standing still (in a line). Would it be possible for kids & me to wait in line, and him to join us when it's nearly our turn? Thanks!

Hi Lucy! Many guests want to come to enjoy the great parks at Walt Disney World and are often afraid of the wait times and walking. Disney understands these issues and tries hard to provide a magical experience for all guests.

If you think your husband would remain stronger with a wheel chair, you can rent one at each park. This would give him a place to rest but would not confine him to it for the entire time. Not all of the attractions have places close by where guests can sit and wait and once you advance in a queue line it can be basically impossible for other family members to move in and join you. Obviously the other guests won't always understand your situation and if it is hot and humid they all might turn into Grumpy's!

Your best bet is to stop by the Guest Services location in each park you are visiting. Discuss your husband's situation with them and they can either guide you through the attractions to decide which are best for you or give you a Guest Assistance Card. This would be presented to attraction cast members who will then lead you to alternative waiting areas. This is not a Front of the Line Pass so understand you will simply be waiting in another location from the regular queue.

Disney has really improved ride queue areas and sometimes you won't want to miss them as they have become part of the experience. The Haunted Mansion is definitely my favorite with all the interactive things you can do. Others that are fun include Toy Story Mania, Winnie the Pooh, and Dumbo. It might be tough to bypass those lines unless they are ridiculously long.

Hope your family has a wonderful vacation!
