Hi there my family and I will be visiting in a week. I just heard there are new stroller regulations. Is there a specific list of strollers that are allowed or not allowed?!?!

Hey there, Kristen. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Recently, the stroller policy has been updated at Walt Disney World to create a safer and more enjoyable experience for all Guests. The good news is that most strollers and even double strollers still fit within these guidelines. The park rules state that all strollers larger than 31" in width and 52" in height are not permitted inside of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. And while not a new rule I should mention that stroller wagons of any kind are also not allowed. Also keep in mind that when boarding a bus or tram, your stroller needs to be empty and folded up to allow for more room for other people. If your stroller doesn't fit within these guidelines, I suggest renting one once you've arrived at the Parks. I actually loved doing this when my daughter was smaller. It was nice not having to lug it on and off of the bus in the mornings and evenings. We could set up once, when we got there, for the day and we were done with it. The strollers are made out of a hard plastic which makes it easy to wipe out if there are any spills throughout the day. There's a sunshade that always kept my daughter cool, a bag for storing all those souvenirs throughout the day and even cup holders that fit a bottle of water perfectly. I always liked them and think it's the way to go.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion regarding the new stroller policy. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
