My family of 6 will be visiting WDW for the 1st time May 20-25. I have been told about the Photo Pass but I totally am confused on this. How does this work, purchase on line, purchase at park, cover each park? Thanks

Hi Marina, get ready to have some magical memories captured by Disney's PhotoPass photographers! This happens to be one of my favorite benefits in the park. With this service, all of your family can be in the picture and in some of the most photogenic spots throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks.

There are several different options for the PhotoPass service. The first is the most "deluxe" package called Disney's PhotoPass+. With this package which you can pre-order (or purchase once you get into the parks) offers PhotoPass service as well as all of your images (edited and unedited) on a PhotoCD, a photo gallery CD with over 400 high resolution digital stock photos from around Walt Disney World Resort. With PhotoPass+, you are able to include photos onto aforementioned PhotoCD from select attractions and dining locations. As I mentioned above, you can pre-order PhotoPass+ for a discounted rate if you order at least 14 days from your departure date. You will then receive a voucher to redeem for your PhotoPass+ lanyard/card to use with the PhotoPass photographers along with your gallery CD of photos. It will also come with a special code and instructions for ordering your PhotoCD once you return home.

If you choose not to do this, there are still ways to get PhotoPass pictures taken. When you see a designated photographer around the parks, simply have them take a photo of you and your family. They will hand you a standard PhotoPass card. Hold on to this card as you will use it for the rest of your trip. Keep in mind, with the standard PhotoPass card (not the + package), attraction and dining photos cannot be added to it. Those photos will have to be purchased separately. Once you return home, you can view, edit, and purchase as many or as few photos as you like.

I hope this clarifies this amazing service. Have a wonderful trip and say "cheese"!
