Our family is visiting WDW March 7-13 for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. I have a fireworks cruise booked for Wishes can you help with any other special little things I can do for this momentous event? I want to make it SPECIAL! THANKS!!

Hi Steven! What a wonderful place to celebrate with your family and honor your parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary!

Your idea of a fireworks cruise is a great one as it is such a special way for everyone to be together and enjoy one of Disney's best shows from a prime spot on the lake. They will pipe the music in from the boat so you will feel like you are sitting right on Main Street watching. If your budget can handle something a bit more...well a lot more.....then consider the Grand One yacht. We have used this in the past and it is an unbelievable experience. It comes complete with a pilot and a butler to help make your evening special. You can book it for an hour or as long as you wish but I suggest two hours. You will cruise the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake and like the other boats will stop to enjoy the Wishes show. Usually before you head back in you will also take in the Electric Water Parade. The Grand One is luxury to the max!

For both cruises make sure you order through private dining where you will get the boat something special. It can be a cake or chocolate covered strawberries complete with champagne to toast your parents big day. On the Grand One you can actually have a meal served. The sky is the limit if you want food but it must go through the resort private dining. The pontoon boats will include snacks and sodas and water.

I suggest you book a nice dining reservation before the cruise. Citricos is a wonderful restaurant in the Grand Floridian and offers great menus for both children and adults. You can then do dessert on the boat if that works for you. This restaurant also has an intimate private room for 12 that would complete the special night.

Don't forget to purchase some ears and have them engraved "50 years" for your parents to wear proudly. So many guests and cast will stop to congratulate them throughout their stay. Include an in room decoration through the Disney florist too. Gosh, the ideas are endless!
