My family and I are visiting WDW March 2015 for the very first time. We are all super excited but I also feel slightly overwhelmed at the planning of our timetable when we are there. Staying at AKL. How much booking ahead for food is actually needed?

    Hello Angela,
I'm so thrilled to know you and your lovely family have planned your very 1st holiday to Walt Disney World Resort next month, you must be feeling ever so excited by now!
It's possible for Guests to arrange Advanced Dining Reservations at selected Disney restaurants up to 180 days ahead of time and this can be done via My Disney Experience or by speaking with a Cast Member by calling the Dining Reservations telephone number found in this Walt Disney World Phone Directory.
Dining at Disney is hugely popular and some Table Service restaurants do get booked up extremely fast, but I'm sure with a little magic or indeed the help of a knowledgeable Cast Member at any Guest Services you won't go hungry at dinner time!
It's always worth remembering that all Counter Service restaurants like The Mara at your home Resort at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge don't require any dining reservations.
I'm sure you'll enjoy a magical 1st vacation with your dear family to Walt Disney World Resort making memories which will last an entire lifetime.
    Have a great Disney day.
